• Invests for a period of 3 to 7 years
• To finance citizen-owned companies or joint-ventures with foreign investors
• General fund, therefore not industry or sector specific
• Non-stage specific, therefore will invest in:
  
  a)      Greenfield projects
  
  b)      Early-stage projects
  
  c)      Established companies needing capital to expand
  
  d)      Mergers and Acquisitions
  
  e)      Turnarounds
  
  f)       Management buy-outs and buy-ins

• Focussed on investment activities in Botswana
   

Objectives of Fund

• To provide risk capital by way of equity and / or quasi-equity and other debt instruments to private companies in Botswana
• To contribute to broadening of economic base away from traditional productive sectors such as mining and agriculture.
• To facilitate citizen economic empowerment.
• To achieve commercial returns for CEDA
